WHO IS COVERED?
You, your spouse or partner in a recognised customary union or co-habiting partner (under the age of 55) and a maximum of five (5) dependent children under the age of 21 who form part of the household are covered. Dependent children who study full-time at a recognized educational institution and who are under the age of 25 are included.
WHAT AM I INSURED AGAINST?
Upon diagnosis of a Serious Heart Attack, Stroke, Cancer, Paraplegia, Kidney Failure, Blindness in both eyes or an Organ Transplant, the insured amount will be paid to you.
HOW DO I CLAIM?
Submit a claim form to your nearest Legal Shield office with all relevant medical documentation within 60 days of diagnosis.
ONCE I HAVE CLAIMED, WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Your claim will be assessed and if necessary additional doctor’s reports obtained. Once all information is obtained and the claim is approved, the insured amount will be paid to you.
WHAT IS THE MONTHLY PREMIUM?
Debit order premium N$106-00 and Salary Stop Order premium is N$100-00.
Top-up cover available at N$18 for every additional N$10 000 cover up to a maximum cover of N$150 000.
ADDITIONAL FREE FUNERAL BENEFIT NOW ADDED!
The Insurer will pay a FREE Funeral Benefit upon the death of the Main Member or his/her registered spouse. The benefit shall be calculated using the monthly premium multiplied by 100. In order to qualify for this benefit the policy and all monthly premiums must be up to date for a period of 12 months preceding the death of the Main Member or his/her registered spouse.
