Through its Legal Shield product, Trustco Insurance has selected two (2) Law students at the University of
Namibia to receive financial support for this academic year 2022 as well as an opportunity to be employed
at Trustco Insurance.
The recipients this year – Immanuel Ngesheya and Doreen Lyomba, will each be awarded bursaries
amounting to N$30 000.00. The vigorous selection process took into account an array of criteria as well as
personal attributes. The financial assistance will enable the bursary recipients to focus on their studies and
sidestep financial hardships that could be encountered when pursuing a higher education qualification,
especially in these harsh times post two years of the corona virus pandemic.
Upon completion of their studies, the recipients will be granted employment and the opportunity to gain
valuable practical legal working experience at Trustco Insurance.
“Since its inception in 2002, the programme has awarded bursaries of over N$1.2 million to more than 50
students and will continue to do so for as long as possible,” said Deputy CEO of Trustco Insurance, Mr.
Legal Shield was launched in 2000 as the only Namibian legal insurance provider. It offers affordable legal
cover against costs stemming from civil, criminal, matrimonial, labour and administrative litigation matters.
